“Le Chiuse” farm offers the possibility to have lunch or dinner inside or outside at close contact with nature. These activities allows us to know the territory of Ciociaria and to experiment the handcraft activities of our grandmothers.
Besides, the wonderful position of our farm makes it a great starting point for trips that can plunge you in the art, the culture and the history of our land. Here you can follow the traces of history moving along the old borders between the Papal State and the southern Bourbon state, which one was the scenario of brigandage acts.
At a short distance you can find important religious monuments such as the Montecassino, Casamari (Veroli) and Trisulti (Collepardo) abbeys and other small towns rich in history and tradition (Fiuggi, Anagni, Alatri, Veroli, Arpino, Atina, Aquino, and many others).
Around the farm there are natural landscapes of extraordinary beauty. Besides the famous Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, (our farm is in its “area of development”), you can find other “wildlife paradises” ranging from the natural reserves of the Posta Fibreno Lake, to the “Zompa lo Schioppo” falls and the Liri River that runs along the whole flourishing Roveto Valley and forms a fall in the characteristic town of Isola del Liri. You can follow the tracks of wild animals such as marsicano bear, wolves and lynxes .
In 20 minutes you can arrive at the Forca d’Acero mountain pass which is near to ski slopes.
